Empty Pockets And Crazy Dreams

Empty Pockets And Crazy Dreams

Saturday 2:21 PM

The photo above sits on the bookshelf in my office at ONE Championship.

I’m thrilled to announce that my best buddy Saurabh Mittal has agreed to join ONE Championship as our Vice Chairman. Over 20 years ago, Saurabh and I were amongst the poorest kids at Harvard Business School. With our other best buddy Soon Loo, we were known as the three musketeers at school because we were inseparable, spending literally every day together. Our pockets were empty, but our hearts were full. We shared so many crazy dreams together. Never in a million years did I think we would be on the cover of magazines together and doing talk shows and media interviews across Asia.

For me, the coolest part though is how the three of us have always been there for one another over the last two decades. As Oprah Winfrey once said, “Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.” The three of us would not only take the bus for one another, but we would happily push the bus together if it broke down too. #gratitude
