At the end of every year, I like to write down some of my key learnings about life from that…
The Impossible Story
Thank you to the Singapore Government (EDB) for selecting me and ONE Championship to spread the beautiful message of Singapore’s impossible story of greatness. The best decision I ever made for ONE was to start it on the Little Red Dot, and to build our global HQ here. Without a doubt, Singapore is a big reason why ONE has become a global phenomenon.
I am full of gratitude and appreciation to Singapore for embracing ONE Championship over the years and for helping to build together what will be Asia’s first multibillion dollar global sports media property. Whether it is EDB’s active involvement, Temasek’s investment, support from Ministers in the Singapore Government, Mediacorp’s significant commitment of broadcast hours, Singtel’s blockbuster partnership, SGX’s proactive help, the passion of our Singaporean fans, the excellence of our Singaporean athletes, or the incredible work of our Singaporean rockstars at Team ONE, I have been truly blessed with the friendship, support, and love from everyone across Singapore.
In many ways, ONE Championship’s journey has mirrored Singapore’s journey of impossible odds, incredible resilience, and relentless tenacity. In the annals of political and economic history, Singapore stands out as one of the greatest stories of achievement. Singapore went from a tiny island with no natural resources into a global economic powerhouse in only 50+ years. Through ONE Championship, I am proud to be a tiny part of Singapore’s incredible history of impossible stories. Majulah, Singapura!
While I don’t work for awards or recognition, I am still very grateful. Luck plays a big part in life. I know that I have received a lot of good luck and blessings throughout my life. I work because it is an expression of my soul. I pour my everything into my work every day because I want to make a positive impact on billions of lives, and because I want to change the world for the better. I don’t own fancy cars or expensive clothes or nice watches. The only thing I have is a burning desire to do something worthwhile with my life.
The truth is that I stand on the shoulders of our incredible athletes, and the amazing men and women of Team ONE. They deserve all of the credit for our achievements. Without them, I am nothing. Thank you to everyone who is a part of ONE Championship for your passion, excellence, and inspiration in pushing our dream forward together! I am blessed to serve you as your leader. #MadeInSingapore #WeAreONE #gratitude
